Visitors at Main Street Museum can also see the town's Post Office, located inside the General Store. In the early 1900's, the Post Office was not a stand-alone building by itself but was often inside the General Store.

Store owners often used emblems to advertise what was in their stores. The General Store displays a Cigar Store Indian, which was used to indicate to visitors that they could purchase tobacco from the store. Indian figurines were the widespread symbol used for tobacco because American Indians first introduced tobacco to Europeans.
